Phoenix Firearms Training, Ltd. provides quality firearms training to enthusiasts of all levels in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.  We specialize in training new shooters to be well-grounded in the core fundamentals.  Additionally, we offer refresher training for shooters who desire to reestablish those fundamentals and improve their skills.  Phoenix sensitively approaches the needs of female students and spends the time to ensure all instruction results in students feeling accomplished and satisfied.  We strive to meet the needs of every shooter by offering IL Concealed Carry, NRA courses, and private instruction.

Our chief instructor, Alexandra K. Nelson, has worked in law enforcement for over 23 years.  She currently specializes in firearms training for a police department in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.  Lead instructor Lance Besthoff is a 30+ year law enforcement veteran who specialized in firearms training for a northwest suburban police department and is an avid hunter.  Staff instructor William Nelson is a 24+ year law enforcement veteran specializing in firearms and response to resistance training in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.  All of our instructors have law enforcement firearms instruction backgrounds accompanied by a wealth of knowledge in the field of firearms, use of force statutes and considerations, legislation, and case law.  With over 70 years of shooting experience, we look forward to sharing our knowledge, skills, and abilities with you!
